I had to rebuild my lower cowl corners. The previous restoration had a stud sticking out but I am questioning if it should have been a cage nut. Thanks in advance for the replies.

James, I think there should have been a cage nut. On my 48 it looks like a regular bolt going to it.

Thank you so much. You are the only one to reply. Since I can’t get a cage nut installed, I’m going to install a nut-cert. that way the proper bolt can be installed.
