Recently had minor fender which required repainting of front fender., light grey. Now, when I looking straight ahead my windshield is perfectly clear. But when turning and the sun hits my windshield just right it reveals a fine overspray across the entire windshield. Normal windshield washing hasn't removed it. Looking for aftermarket product or other sugestions for removing it.

What kind of paint was it? Enamel? If so, enamel reducer will clean it off. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

Easily removed with a RAZOR BLADE...Single edge...And no, it will not scratch the glass... This message was edited by MG on 10-1-25 @ 6:51 PM

Also try some lacquer thinner.

I use 00 or 000 steel wool. Razor blades have scratched, ask me how I know.

Yep, razor blades can and do scratch glass. Lacquer thinner on enamel will make a mess. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

The best solution is to mask under and along side of the windshield with plastic film to protect the paint, put on protective gloves, wet a rag with acetone and then wipe the glass. It will take a few passes to get the glass clean. When you think the glass is clean, go over it with a detail clay bar and detail spray in both up and down and across directions, several times. This will remove any remaining residue. Tom
