My father sold his 50 ford convertible and shortly after passed away. He left behind several good parts. I have a new front center grill but do not know if it is the left or right. Can someone help me identify which it would be?

Probably, yes. How about posting good clear photographs of any estate parts which need to be identified? Attached is a 1950 coupe photo for you to look at.

1950 has only one center grille ring. 1951 has left and right grille rings. 1949 also has one center grille ring, but 49 and 50 center grille rings are different.

V8er's advice is correct. This is what a 1951 Ford passenger car grille looks like .......

Gentlemen Thanks for your response. I probably confused you with my question. I was not referring to the center grill ring. My question was about the grill piece that runs from the center ring to the corner (Middle grill section). According to my old book there is a right and a left sectional piece. I have one section except I am not sure if it is the left or right. Is there a way to tell since I do not have a car to compare it to. Photo attached. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm ..... lots of wiggly squiggly patterns on the chrome plated surface. Reflections, perhaps? Your photo appears to be showing a 1950 Ford 0A-8150 passenger's side center grille bar.

As I recall the wider side of the grille extension goes to the top. There is a left and a right to those extensions. The bolt spacing to the center piece will also be a clue. This message was edited by trjford8 on 3-19-25 @ 7:19 AM
