My understanding is that the 2 piece was primarily a commercial application (may the thinking was that more clutch/flywheel maintenance would be needed with a heavy duty vehicle?). Are there any gotcha moments for removal? Unfortunately, my engine stand will not accommodate the block, so I will need to work from below the hoist and plan to replace the oil pump and clean the pan. Any recommendations? Thanks for the help...

That is exactly what I need...thanks. Any advice on the removal/install of the 2 piece pan. I know rope seals are involved and can be fussy, but anything else? Are the 2 piece pans easier to deal with?
