I don't quite understand your question?? A 1942 only crab cap will fit by itself with a correct gasket inbetween the cap and body. 46-48 is a 2 pce cap arrangement w. gaskets between the outer cap and innercap and inner cap and body. 42 cap must be used with the correct rotor (its longer) and clips on the body instead of the lrg.bail wire to hold both caps to a 46-48.
