I have a '47 Mercury convertible and need the spring used to assist raising and lowering the top. Any ideas on where to buy one? Thanks!

Since it takes two assist springs, you might be shopping for a pair. A pair for a '40 on ebay now but those would be a couple of inches short for your '47. If you have one in hand , that kind of spring manufacturer, sent to them, could copy it. Carl
