I am working on a 40 Ford brakes. The bleeder valve has a tiny screw in the center to keep dirt out I guess. Is this original for a 1940? All 4 wheels are this way.

Ken, All four wheels utilized the bleeder screws you describe and yes, that's authentic. The round head screws are #10-32's.
Roy Nacewicz sells both the bleeders and the correct screws and lock washers if you are in need.

Thanks Mike I though so but not sure. I am trying to stay as close as original as I can. Wish I was close to you to pick your brain. Are you going to N.C National meet?

Hey Ken, I'd made my reservations for NC quite some time ago.
I really enjoyed that meet last time and am looking forward to it this coming year.
I've promised myself to take an extra couple of days so I can get to meet and visit with a lot of good folks I've corresponded with but never had some face to face time.
Kind regards,
Mike
