Looking for a new 1940 6volt heater motor. Tried the generic Napa one it's to long . Any ideas ?

Welcome J, I'm guessing locating a new OEM motor might be futile. I believe I'm correct that since those motors are DC, they have a commutator and brushes. Maybe it needs only the commutator portion cleaned and new brushes.?.? Keep warm, Barney

The 1939 - 1940 heater motor is hard to find. If your heater does not have a motor, you will probably have to buy a heater to get the motor. If your heater has a motor, it can probably be repaired. Look for a small motor or generator repair service near you. Larry at Morton Grove Auto electric can repair some of the heater motors.
